Job Role Description

We are currently recruiting for an exciting position within our team, as an Inclusion Apprentice. During this role, you'll be supporting our Inclusion Lead to provide educational achievement to students and apprentices with additional needs.

As an Inclusion Apprentice, you will have a passion for supporting students and learners with any barriers to learning. Working closely with the Inclusion Lead, E-portfolio Apprentice and the Quality Manager you will use your skills to support learners or students with any barriers to learning.

Role Duties

- Support the implementation of the centres Inclusion strategy and policy.
- Support the Inclusion Lead to carry out assessments of students with barriers to learning to identify needs and monitor progress, specifically Cognassist.
- Using Cognassist – add learners to system, ensure learners are engaged and meet with them to review progress. Update system regularly and liaise with Data team to ensure records are correct.
- Work with Inclusion Lead to develop, implement, and monitor individual support/learning plans ensuring all agreed objectives and targets are met.
- Provide regular updates on student and learners progress through written reports.
- Develop and maintain systems for keeping student and learners’ records, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Analyse centre data and provide accurate reports and feedback for Inclusion Lead, Quality Manager and any other Manager as required.
- Support Inclusion Lead to improve student progress and attainment.
- Participate in training and other learning activities as required and complete 20% off the job training each week.
- Report to the Inclusion Lead/Quality Manager through Internal Quality Assurance processes and performance measures monthly.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students/learners.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Attend regular meetings and contribute to projects related to the job role on a company wide basis.
- To assist with duties within the scope and nature of the position
- To work as a team to manage team targets.
Demonstrate initiative, drive, enthusiasm and innovation to continually improve the role.
- Invigilation – to receive training for and carry out Invigilation duties alongside other Invigilators in our organisation.
- Undertake other duties that may be required to ensure the effectiveness and efficient operation of the organisation.

You will have access to a laptop and the internet to complete your training whilst in the workplace.

This employer will also be offering tailored training for the role, which includes:
- Autism Awareness (Online Training)
- Cognassist
- Awareness of learner needs, including Mental Health Awareness, Anxiety, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and more.

Desired Skills & Qualities

- Ability to communicate with internal and external individuals and agencies
- Ability to work on all Microsoft Office packages specifically Excel and Word
- Understanding and passionate about supporting those with additional needs
- A full driving licence would be desirable
- Looking to progress and learn new skills in a challenging role

Entry Requirements

General Requirements:
- Age 16+
- Not currently in Education, Employment or Training
- Eligible to work in England
- Looking for a career in administration, training or inclusion

- Age 16-18: maths and English at GCSE or Functional Skills or equivalents (grades will be discussed at interview)
- Age 19+: must have maths and English GCSE grade 9 to 4 (A* to C), we also accept Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent.

- We would like candidates to have some administration experience, although this is not essential


Working Hours

8.30am - 4.30pm - Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 4.00pm on Friday
