To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2022, we are asking our Apprentices to share their experience of becoming an apprentice and how it has impacted their career journey. We recently chatted to Gurjashandeep Singh, who is currently completing a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship at Skribes.

"I wanted to do an Apprenticeship because I have always wanted to have a different route because college or sixth form didn’t offer me the valuable experience I needed and I would get paid to learn which was great as I wanted to save up.

An Apprenticeship will benefit me in 2 major ways in the future, one, because I will be able to save money and two, I hope to progress with Skribes Inventory Specialists. I was confident when I was invited to the interview because I knew that I could add value to the business.

I was supported by Phil and he was a key figure in helping me get my apprenticeship and supported me through the process. I was thrilled when i found out that I had been successful because I had been looking for an Apprenticeship for some time.

The next 2 years are quite important for me at Skribes because this is the time I will be showcasing my skills to the company and when I have completed my Apprenticeship in 18 months time, I'd like to progress with Skribes into a management role."
