Apprentice Of The Month: Chloe Wagstaff

April 12, 2022, 2:22 p.m.
Each month we like to celebrate the achievements of individual Apprentices who have gone over and above to achieve their qualification.

For the month of March we have chosen Chloe Wagstaff as a worthy winner. Chloe has been presented with our Apprentice of the Month award, alongside a £10 Amazon Voucher.

Below, Chloe has provided us with insight into how her Apprenticeship is going, as well as giving advice to anyone considering completing an Apprenticeship to kick-start their career.

1. Tell me a little about why you wanted to complete this apprenticeship?

I have always had a huge passion for children and love to see children grow each day. I wanted to complete this apprenticeship to get hands on with the children, ensure I can become the best I can be and ensure that I help the children become the best they can be.

2. What value has the apprenticeship bought to you so far?

It has made me become much more confident within myself and has allowed me to grow as a person. This apprenticeship has made me gain so much knowledge on how to care for children and how to help them progress. It has also allowed me to become more confident with talking to other people has I now speak to all parents on a daily basis and I’m now confident enough to answer any questions or concerns parents may have.

3. Has it given you what you thought it would, any surprises?

Yes, this apprenticeship has exceeded all my expectations. Throughout my apprenticeship it has been very challenging but it has made me become a better person. It has allowed me to gain so much knowledge on how to care for children and how to help them develop.

4. What would you say to any apprentice considering doing an apprenticeship programme?

I would highly recommend doing an apprenticeship programme. It allows you to get hands on and allows you to gain so much knowledge. It’s also a great way to get support from your assessor to help you out with anything you are struggling with.

5. What knowledge and skills have your learnt so far on your apprenticeship journey?

I have learnt so much about safeguarding and how to keep children safe. I have also learnt how to care for the children and how to work in partnership with parents and other professionals on how to help children develop and allow them to become the best they can be.
